Terms of Use

1. Who we are

besttrades.wales is a trade business directory and lead-routing service operated by Choros Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). We help Welsh homeowners find local tradespeople and help tradespeople receive enquiries from nearby customers.

2. Consumers

When you submit an enquiry on besttrades.wales ("Request a callback"):

• We will share your name, phone number, email address, postcode, and job description with one or more trade businesses in your area so they can contact you about your request.
• We do not guarantee any specific response time, quality of workmanship, or that a tradesperson will be available for your job.
• Any contract for works is directly between you and the tradesperson. We are not a party to that contract and accept no liability for the outcome.
• We may send you a review request by email 45 days after your enquiry is marked complete. You are under no obligation to respond.

3. Trade businesses

Businesses listed on besttrades.wales ("Listings") may be sourced from public records, including the Companies House register. If you are listed and have not claimed your profile:

• Your listing includes only publicly available information (business name, registered address or postcode, trade category).
• You may claim your listing at any time by contacting us at hello@besttrades.wales. Claiming is free. Premium features are available for a monthly subscription.
• We may route consumer enquiries to unclaimed listings. We will attempt to contact you separately to connect you with the enquiry.
• You may request removal of your listing at any time by emailing us. Removal is processed within 5 business days.

Premium subscribers additionally agree to:

• Handle consumer leads in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You must not use lead data for any purpose other than responding to the specific enquiry.
• Delete lead personal data within 12 months of receipt if no contract results, or within 30 days of the consumer requesting deletion.
• Not pass lead data to third parties without the consumer's explicit consent.
• Maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data you receive through our platform.

4. Reviews

• Reviews submitted on besttrades.wales must be genuine and based on actual experience.
• We moderate reviews before publication. We will not publish reviews that contain profanity, defamatory content, or content unrelated to the trade job.
• Reviews of 4 stars or above are auto-published after a 24-hour cooling period. Reviews below 4 stars are manually reviewed within 7 days.
• We reserve the right to remove any review that violates these terms or applicable law.

5. Limitation of liability

besttrades.wales is a directory and introduction service only. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or timeliness of any work carried out by a tradesperson found through our platform. Our total liability to you in connection with your use of besttrades.wales shall not exceed £100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

6. Intellectual property

All content on besttrades.wales — including text, design, and data — is owned by or licensed to Choros Ltd. You may not scrape, reproduce, or redistribute any content without our written permission.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of besttrades.wales after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
